We are going to play this important match in  tirupur. This is the match we are looking forward to win and confirm and retain  our position in DCAT1st division  2012 -2013.
All our players are in good shape and  confidence to face THRILLERS.We know there is some good players in our opponent team ,who have played well in last few games so you can expect some stiff competition between us   But still we have planned few things and we will try to experiment in the  match to win the game. 
Totally if we look forward this game and it could be a  good challenge for both the team.

STUNNING WIN AGAINST KALKI in 6th Leaguge match

LUCKY STAR WIN BY 13 RUNS AGAINST KALKI IN 6th  LEAGUGE MATCH. 

                We all were looking forward for this important match ,because we are in a critical situation ,our team  in 8th Position in the  first division before this match and if we lose this  match then it will be difficult  for us to retain our team in first division. So we all are very eager to play this match.
                      We planned to bat first, but unfortunately we loss the toss. But luck still favored us as our opponent asked our team  to bat first    so  we are  very happy to bat first .
                     Our promising opener's NIZAM & PREM opened the innings positively .But Nizam   (6 runs )got out  by "caught behind" with super delivery from  RAMKUMAR  (who is the leading wicket taker in 1st Division). SHANKAR who is in out form went 1st down and played a sensible cricket. By the time PREM looks good and  continuing his 20-20 form as  the partnership built slowly and steadily the score was 99 for 1 wic at 23 overs. RAMKUMAR came back for his second spell and once again he proved his talent and got the wicket of SHANKAR lbw for 38 runs. The very next ball our hard hitter TAMIL SELVAN bowled out for 0 runs and we were in very critical situation. Our promising youngster SENTHIL .R came to crease and RAM were in hat-trick ball Senthil played out the over steadily . But  again in the next over of RAM  he got wicket  but this its because of poor decision  by umpire as PREM had given out lbw for 49 runs were the ball hits the bat and then the pad.
                       GANESH comes out to bat for 4 th down .SENTHIL .R & GANESH played sensible cricket and again the partnership started to build. Drinks were taken for 34 over’s and score were 143 for 4 wic .But after the drinks break  again a  poor decision by umpire as  SENTHIL.R had given lbw for 28 runs,but ball pitched far outside off and hits the pad above the stump. Once after the senthil. R wicket we have too much of struggles and wickets started to fall  regularly . Ganesh got out for 15 runs, magudapathi got out for 0 runs and again the poor decision by umpire ...our wicket keeper  PRASANNA  given out "caught behind" for 0 runs, but the ball hits the pad not the bat. Finally it came to the end were we bowled out for 163 runs in 41st over. We were in strong position at drinks break 143 for 4 wicks Kalki came back strongly.
                              RAM got 4 wickets of top order giving 50 runs and ASHOK who is promising youngster got 4 wickets for just 17 runs at middle over’s .YUVARAJ the off spinner got 2 wickets for 34 runs.....                               
                  We were bowled out before  lunch and umpire asked  KALKI to bat 7 over’s before lunch. This was the great time for us to show our fight back in short time. We started new ball with left arm spinner at one end and left arm fast  in another end this was not worked out well for us. But our captain DINSEH changed the bowler at facer end to MAGUDAPATHI and this gave us the 1st break through just before the lunch at the time  We were in good position as kalki 21 runs for 1 wic of 7 overs.
                         After the lunch break second bowling change made by our captain this time R.SENTHIL and he gave us the 2nd break through as score read 2 for 24 runs .
At this time were in good position but, for 3rd wicket partnership by  GOKUL & DURAI set us in to deep trouble. In the 19th over their mix up in running ended the partnership by run out  and we got  lucky break through  (good fielding by   PRASANNA wk) at the time score was 3for 55 runs.  
Bowling change of NIZAM at another end work out well for us he bowled a beauty delivery to DURAI and he was caught behind by PRASANNA a super catch .Again NIZAM gave us next break through by caught behind ASHOK for 6 runs .We were in strong position 66 for 5 wickets in 22 over.
             SRKANTH  who batted well at another end joined with VICKY for 6 wickets and take away the game from us .They played sensible and great confidence .Defending the low score of 164 is very tuff for us and our captain. Our captain changed / rotated our bowler regularly but this was not worked out.
                                Again our wicket taker NIZAM given us break through taking SRKANTH 's wicket  by bowled  for 26 runs and score was 107 for 6 wicks in 30 over’s. Kalki needed just 57 runs off 120 balls having 4 wickets in hand.
                           We never lose our hope and we played with humours confidence that we can win. But runs had came quickly and wickets also fallen at regular interval .At once stage RAM the hard hitter came to the crease and our wicket taker NIZAM bowled out him for just 6 runs .We were in great joy and we were in 100% confidence that we will win the match. After the wicket fall of RAM we got the next 2 wicket cheaply .Finally Kalki were bowled out for 151 runs in 45 th Over.
                            
                               We won the match by 12 RUNS . 

              We all were in great joy and our captain's eye was full of happy tears. We all were rounding the ground with great joy. This was the great match ever we played in 1st division .Thanks to our opponent team KALKI to give this good fighting match.

LUCKYSTAR LIFTS TROPHY

Lucky star cricket club beat charms cc dharapuram by Thrilling  6 runs at  tirupur on 26  th January. This is grand final match of  P.S. Govindasamy Rolling Trophy T20 cricket tournament conducted by DCAT 

The seesaw battle begins when charms won the toss and put  lucky star to bat first . Their decision looks wrong when lucky star opener nizam and prem fired boundaries right from the beginning but seasoned fast bowler safiq remove  nizam in the 6th over but   lucky star that time all ready put 50 runs on board..  but controlled and discipline bowling from charms put lucky star to  70 for 3 in 10 overs.

The second 10 overs lucky star loss wickets in regular interval and finally they all out for 134 in 19.4 overs where ''right senthilkumar" and " premkumar"  contributed 28 and 37 runs . 

  Chasing 135 in 20 overs  charms dharapuram started brilliantly  with thier skipper Nachimuthu and tournament highest scorer Riaz  fly the ball all over the ground and  scored 53 runs in 6 overs.

(10 boundaries and 1 sixer .)

But never say die attitude lucky star players fight back strongly and beautiful  bowling performance from senthilkumar and nizam in their first spell put charms cc 85 for 4 in 13 overs . But spirited charms fight back and they required only 16 runs from last 2 overs.Once again  nizam and senthil bowled accurately  give away only 9 runs in last 2 overs and help their team  lift the trophy for first time.

Lucky star announced its playing elven for their forth coming match against charms cc dharapuram at tirupur on 26  th January 12.30 pm  .
 This is grand final match of  P.S. Govindasamy Rolling Trophy T20 cricket tournament conducted by DCAT  .Both Luckystar cc and charms cc fight for their first T20 championship.

Lucky star CC and Charms CC   storms into final

Charms Cricket Club (Dharapuram) pulled off a surprise five-wicket win over Tirupur Textiles Recreation Club in a crucial semifinal clash of the P.S. Govindasamy Rolling Trophy T20 cricket tournament here on Monday, and other semifinal  "tamilselvan" and "magudapathi" once again performed  well against seasoned competitors  TCC'A' to take  luckystar cc  in to final

The final will be on 26th January, afternoon  at TEA public school
